Walk that extra mile ...with care!
To be thin, slim is the fad these days. In modelling world there is another thing coming up, that is "amenorrhea". This problem is seen now in common among woman athletes, swimmers, gymnasts etc.. While moderate exercises can relieve bloating, cramping, reduce menstrual flow but strenuous training may disrupt the menstrual cycle.
However proper diet and training could be a cure. About 30 to 50% of women who run regularly for exercises, experience the menstrual irregularities. Although being thin may predispose you to amenorrhea, there are thin women with normal periods.
Never assume that the problem is related to exercises only, the irregularities may be due to other reasons like emotional srtess, excessive dieting, pituitary gland disorders, ovarian failure.
Going over-board with exercise may help shed the ugly extra fat but strenuous training can disrupt your menstral cycle.
Amenorrheic must see a gynaecologist regarding the problems like their health and sexuality. Always take necessary advice from
gynaecologist while expriencing menstrual disorders.
Quick weight loss programs for women may cause some problems mentioned above so proper diet, moderate exercise is necessary when working it out for losing weight. Losing weight too fast is also not recommended as the extra work out. Women in particular may develop serious problems regarding fertility.
