3 Day Diet

The 3 day diet involves mixing certain types of foods that create a reaction in the dieter's digestive system. The chemicals are supposed to boost dieter's metabolism and help in burning fat at a higher rate than usual. The diet lasts only for three days and hence is known as 3 day diet. This can be repeated after taking two days off. This diet is popular among people who are interested in dieting for a limited period of time. The specific portions need to be followed by the book or the dieter may not achieve desired results.

Here is what a typical three day diet can comprise of: Breakfast on first day begins with coffee (no sugar), 1 egg, half of a banana and a piece of toast. Lunch can be of a cup of cottage cheese or tuna and 8 regular saltine crackers. Dinner comprises of 2 beef franks, a cup of broccoli, half a cup of carrots, half of a banana and half cup of regular vanilla ice cream. The other two days of the diet are relatively similar.

The 3 day diet tends to leave the dieter at very low energy level. Beyond that, dieters mainly lose weight because of the low caloric intake. Some people also put on the weight, as their eating habits never actually change in the long run.
