Aerobic activity is necessary to keep yourself in right shape. Daily activities like walking, swimming, jogging, step training, playing some outdoor games etc. help you remain in good shape provided you keep these activities doing daily. When doing this, diet can't be ignored at all. The dieter must always give attention to these two things: fitness, nutrition while attaining some set goals. While setting goals don't aim for quick loss of weight, it is dangerous. Be very alert all the time about the food intake. Also think of nutrition, only exercise will not help. The dieter should rate his or her performance every month and set goals accordingly. Sticking to a suitable diet plan for long will help get back in shape.

Another important thing is to never lose focus off the goals set for weight loss or some fat shedding. One year is a big enough period for weight loss and getting back in right shape. Never give up, also if you start feeling better and lose some flesh, you have to keep going maintaining the figure or the lost weight gets back very fast. The thing is to be focused throughout the year and thereafter maintain the figure with all the goals in mind.

Any aerobic activity helps you lose some extra fat and gain some muscular mass. Working for cardiovascular fitness in first part with the aerobic activity strengthens your cardiovascular system. Start working on to cut fat consumption to 30% or less daily calorie intake.

Doing aerobic activities for some time, you will gain muscular mass at the loss of extra fat. Some weight training helps get six-pack abs, well-defined shoulders, biceps, triceps and calves. Basal metabolic rate shoots up because, muscle consumes more calories than fat. During this period, one must concentrate on proteins and not fat diet. One must continue with less fat and high carbohydrate content. In warm season, dieter must ensure enough fluid intakes during workout.
