Metabolism takes place in two steps.
Anabolism, or construction, in which small molecules (e g. Amino acids) are used to build larger molecules (e.g. proteins).
Catabolism, or destruction, in which large molecules (e.g. glycogen) are broken down to smaller molecules (e.g. pyruvic acid).
Metabolism of the body is directly related to the thyroid gland. This gland is located at the base of the throat. In an obese, the basal metabolism rate is slow. Is this is increased by some exercises, therapies, with proper diet planning, the result will be losing some extra fat quickly.
Metabolic disorder is another important point, which is necessary in gaining extra fat. If the body is unable to convert the carbs, proteins or fats, these things start accumulating under your sking. Excess ugly fat and weight gain are the obvious changes but these things also put yourself in danger with risks of heart attack and stroke.
