Mother's breast milk is the primary source of nourishment to the new-born for at least 18 months.
Human breast milk contains all the nutrients a baby needs including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, hormones, enzymes, essential fatty acids, carbohydrates and immune system factors.
For some reasons if breast feeding can't be provided raw goats milk is acceptable, which is very close to human breast milk in composition. Goat's milk is high in proteins and therefore should be diluted for a child.
Mother's milk is still a primary need. If large volumes of juices are given, the child may not wish to nurse as often, which will eventually decrease mother's milk supply and short-change the child's nutritional intake.
When introducing babies to solid food, it is vital to teach them to have small bites and chew their food well. As a child begins to chew, fresh fruit helps develop brain and neurological systems. It is important to remember that when introducing a baby to one of these fruits, only one kind should be introduced at a time.
Parents must let the child explore things and play. Activity of the child is necessary for overall development. Rich in nutrients diet
and daily play,exercise should go hand in hand. Obese parents must take dietician's advice for their children diet plan.
Baby foods should never be seasoned with salt, spices, sugar, oil or butter. The cooked portion should never exceed 25 percent of the daily diet.
